EuroRec Board

The Board wishes to thank Georges De Moor for his visionary leadership as EuroRec President for the past eight years. During his term EuroRec has become the lead authority on the certification of EHR systems at a European level, maintaining an extensive library of quality criteria in 20 European languages, and awarding certificates of conformance to EuroRec Quality Seals. In recent years EuroRec has established a strong European reputation in research and development on the re-use of electronic health records for research, and has led many European Commission sponsored projects to promote the adoption of high quality EHR systems across Europe. EuroRec has also been very active in facilitating transatlantic strategy alignment on topics such as semantic interoperability, EHR systems certification, workforce accreditation and the trustworthy re-use of EHRs.

Dipak Kalra will continue to grow EuroRec's activities in all of these areas, will strengthen its contributions to EHR interoperability including semantic interoperability, and its business models for the long-term sustainability of EuroRec and its 16 national ProRec Centres.
