Dear All,
We have the pleasure to invite you to attend the second EC Projects-Convergence Workshop to be held in Brussels on March the 20th and 21st, 2013. This workshop is co-organised by the European Commission (DG Connect) and EuroRec. Please find the agenda, the registration form and the list of invited projects/organisations here.
As a result of the previous Convergence Round Table (held on November 7, 2012 in Basel) five convergence “topics” have been defined (and associated Topic Leaders assigned):
- Topic 1: Semantic Interoperability / Metadata / Glossaries (lead: Dipak Kalra)
- Topic 2: Quality Metrics (lead: Bart Vannieuwenhuyse)
- Topic 3: Privacy policy & requirements (including ethics) (leads: Peter Singleton / Anne Bahr)
- Topic 4: Privacy protection techniques & security (lead: Brecht Claerhout)
- Topic 5: Business Modelling (lead: Danielle Dupont )
For this Convergence workshop, up to five persons can register per project (preferably one person for each of the topics, in so far as these are relevant for your project). Registration can be done by filling in the form below. Lunch on the first day is offered by the EC. Persons attending the networking evening dinner will have to cover their own expenses individually. The EC has agreed that all other expenses (travel, accommodation) can be claimed through the respective project’s cost statements (cf. dissemination and liaison activities).
The total number of participants will be limited to 120 (on a first registered - first served basis).
